It’s funny how life works. We know of children starving in Africa, or shivering in Syria, yet most of us don’t make much of an effort at all to help. Does this make us bad people?
The Norwegian branch of the SOS Children’s Village International charity filmed this very special video as a part of a campaign to raise clothing for children in Syria.
As you can see in this video, most people who came across the shivering child offered him their own articles of clothing, even stripping themselves of a warm jacket in the snow. The message I receive from this campaign is that just because we don’t see those kids suffering in the cold, doesn’t mean that it isn’t happening.
Most human beings are extremely willing and happy to help those in need when presented with their suffering, as exemplified by this video. What this video brings to light is that we should realize that we all want to help.
I don’t know about you, but seeing this, I surely was inspired by the kindness most people are capable of.
