Instagram has been attracting quite a bit of traffic since it became a mobile app. As we all know, it’s one of the biggest social media venues today, so it’s no surprise that advertisements are coming into the picture. While we all know how annoying ad’s can be, Instagram is planning on sugar coating this little update.
Here’s the jist of it; we will be seeing some advertisement’s inserted in our timelines that will be “a small number of beautiful, high quality photos and videos from a handful of brands”. Doesn’t sound so bad! If the advertisements are not wanted, each user has the option of hiding the ad – similar to the way Facebook does it. To begin with, the advertising will only be for the United States Instagram users, after which I’m sure it’ll spread worldwide.
