Microsoft's New CEO

Yesterday, Microsoft announced the introduction of their new CEO. Former Executive Vice President of Microsoft's Cloud and Enterprise Group, Satya Nadella, is chosen as the new CEO of the company. Having been with the company for 22 years, the India-native is now said to be the most powerful tech executive (from India) in the world.

"His vision for how technology will be used and experienced around the world is exactly what Microsoft needs as the company enters its next chapter of expanded product innovation and growth," says Gates, who will be stepping down form the board and assisting Nadella as a technology adviser.

Having held many other previous leadership roles, Nadella seems like a safe choice for Microsoft but also means there is no new perspective to influence the company. With the mobile market growing and competitors getting ahead, Microsoft has a lot of work to get back on top. The pressure is on, can Nadella step up to the plate and lead Microsoft in the right direction?
