With the release of CarPlay, Apple has also come out with an update to its iOS software. The new iOS 7.1 claims to fix bugs, improve the functionality of the fingerprint scanner and enable the overall use of CarPlay. Better yet, this new software update is intended to deal with the always slower functioning phone after an update.
According to Apple, iOS 7.1 is streamlined to be more compatible and work better with iPhone 4; no more having to avoid the update to prevent the phone from getting slower. Other features of this software update include different Siri functionalities and voices. In addition, iTunes Radio has also made some improvements. To compete with the ever popular Pandora, Apple has added a search feature that lets users create their own stations based on favorite songs and artists. If you love music and make it a daily part of your life, you'll notice that this feature improves the overall iTunes Radio listening experience.
In the Calendar app, more views have been added to keep you on schedule and in tuned with what you need to know. This new feature makes looking at your calendar a lot more user-friendly and efficient. Also, keep in mind that once you upgrade your stereo system to CarPlay, calendar reminders and upcoming schedules can be set using Siri in the car. With that being, even if you don't have CarPlay installed, or simply are not in line to get it, the new software update is meant to help everyone. Whether you have an iPhone 4 or 5, upgrading could improve your operating system. While you're at it, don't forget to stay charged with Juno Power portable batteries and extend your phone's battery life.
