Whether you're travelling for a business trip, a family reunion, or a personal getaway, these few flying tips will allow you to maximize your comfort and ease in the air!
Always reserve a seat!
Before taking off to your destination, make sure to take a look at where you are seated on your flight. Most airlines make online seating charts so you can see where you are going to be sitting before hand. You can also change your seat to sit next to friends and family, or if you're flying solo, you can choose a window seat to enjoy the view! It can be pretty uncomfortable being stuck between two strangers for several hours.
Take a Picture! Better Safe than Sorry!
If you check your luggage, make sure to snap a picture of your bag and the airline's baggage tag. This way, if your luggage gets lost you'll have a better chance at finding it.
BYOE
Bring your own everything! Planes usually have some snacks and a radio but its always best to be prepared. Bring some food to munch on! You never know if your flight will get delayed or if the food isn't great quality until it actually happens.
Although some planes have built in TV screens and radios, they often stop working or may not have the selection you want. Its best to bring your own tablet, laptop, or deck of cards in case the plane doesn't have a lot to offer.
Especially on long flights, Airplanes can get chilly, and only overnight flights provide blankets and pillows (which usually aren't great quality). Its best to bring a sweater or blanket in your carry-on to stay warm on your flight.
Stay Clean!
Airplanes are a huge source of airborne viruses! Recycled air in the plane can be carrying a cold and flu viruses so be careful and clean when travelling! Make sure to drink lots of vitamin C before during and after your flight, keep some hand sanitizer with you, and avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. The last thing you need is to be sick on vacation!
Plan Ahead
If you are planning on visiting any attractions like museums or amusement parks, it helps to purchase your tickets online before hand. This will not only save you the hassle of waiting in line, but may also save you some money. Often, websites have exclusive online offers like family packages or early bird discounts that can be helpful for staying economical and mindful of your purchases.
These are just a few travel tips that can help you have a safe trip and flight. Enjoy your adventures! And don't forget to check out our portable smartphone and tablet batteries to stay charged in the air and on the go!
