Rappers have always been known to have a certain particular accent and use lots of slang making it somewhat difficult to understand what they're talking about. Recently however, most mainstream rappers all rap about the the same things: money, butts, and weed. I've come to the conclusion that because everyone knows what they're going to be rapping about, modern rappers don't even feel like pronouncing half their words. Here's a little compilation of some of the hardest rappers to understand! At least we can look up the lyrics nowadays!
6) Migos
Migos is actually a group of rappers, Qauvo, Takeoff, and Offset, however they can all be pretty hard to understand. They are most famous for their 2013 single "Versace" and their 2014 single "Fight Night". Migos often mumble through their lyrics and will yell really high pitch ad-libs throughout their songs making it difficult to make out anything they are rapping about.
5) Ludacris
Ludacris is a well known American rapper and actor. He is best known for his unique rapping style in which he can spit 8,104,814 words per minute (give or take a few). Ludacris is better at pronouncing his words than a lot of other rappers but he still raps way too fast for most people to understand.
4) Lil Wayne
Lil Wayne joined Cash Money Records at the age of nine as their youngest member. He has been rapping and producing music ever since then and is now one of the most successful rappers, song-writers, entrepreneurs, and producers of his time. Lil wayne can be hard to understand because he slurs his words and can have a very monotone style to his rapping so it is difficult to tell when one word ends and another begins.
3) Rich Homie Quan
Dequantes Lamar, better known by his stage name, Rich Homie Quan, had his claim to fame with his single "Type of Way". He can be especially hard to understand during his raps because not only does he rap very quickly, but he also slurs his words. The only part of his songs that are somewhat easy to understand are when he slowly sings through the chorus (does this in most of his songs).
2) Chief Keef
Chief Keef started rapping at a very young age and ended up dropping out of high school at the age of 15 to pursue his musical career. Chief Keef is one of the hardest rappers to understand because although he raps slowly and repeats a lot of his lyrics, his words are all very strung out and mumbled. Even during interviews, Chief Keef is notorious for slurring, stuttering, and being asked to repeat what he said.
1) Young Thug
Young Thug has to be the most misunderstood rapper out there right now. Social media has taken advantage of his rapping and how crazy it is putting the song "Lifestyle" on the top charts. It is hard to explain Young Thug's rapping style because on can simply not understand what he is saying. If you haven't already hear him, go look him, you will laugh.
We hope you enjoyed this brief compilation, and remember that when you're listening to all these crazy rappers, stay charged with out portable external batteries!
